There are many reasons why I chose to become a gardener: the yearning for a garden as a place of sanctuary, my love of plants, the joy of designing edible landscapes and potager gardens for food production, and the desire to create something beautiful.
Knowing the gardens I build are transitory and their very existence reliant upon nurturing hands has given me a sense of connection to those who have worked the garden soil before me. Having learned many lessons from the gardens of Ada Gentry, Georgia, and Bunny, I became excited about designing a garden from the beginning stages to full fruition.
